Village School is a space for MEBAL members to learn, contribute and ask for practical support.

Respect the person.

Be patient, communicate clearly and honour the boundaries agreed in your match. Do not pressure anyone for money, gifts, personal contact information or secrecy.

Choose your connections.

Introductions need consent. You may decline, pause a relationship or request coordinator support. Blocking contact prevents further messages and new introductions between those members.

Understand how chat works.

Chat stays closed until approved screening and review arrangements are ready. Messages must be checked before delivery; sexual, violent or uncertain content can remain held for authorised human review. Reviewers may read the necessary context, and members can request an independent appeal of a decision. Screening can make mistakes.

Chat is not end-to-end encrypted. Private reports are restricted to the people assigned to help; they are not automatically shared with the person reported.

Youth participation needs supervision.

Young members need the applicable verified consent and programme eligibility. Adults working with youth must meet the programme’s review requirements. A coordinator supervises approved matches. Off-platform private arrangements must not bypass these controls.

Raise a concern.

Members can report a message, profile, match, session or something that happened offline from the member workspace. You can stop contact while the concern is reviewed.

Community support has limits.

This platform is not an emergency or clinical care service. If you face immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency service where you are. Programme response hours and support contacts are shown when configured.
